In this article, I want to write a little about our focus on security, quality, and price. While Secure Net’s mission is to help companies secure their networks and other IT infrastructure, quality must always be at the forefront. It is also critical that any improvements require the least possible funds, while keeping quality and security at the top. Everything we offer our customers always considers all those three factors with very high demands.
Additionally, everything we offer is something we personally use and have extensive experience with. Anything new that we don’t have years of personal experience with undergoes stringent testing, where we figuratively take the product apart piece by piece and run it through extensive testing. We invest tens of person-hours into each and every product. Then we implement it in-house. Only then does it make it into our product catalog.
As an extension of this philosophy, we decided to open up a webshop early on in our existence to offer products we felt were missing from the Icelandic market or were being sold at ridiculous prices. The same principle applies; we don’t list anything in our webshop that doesn’t pass our extensive quality testing. Therefore, we stand behind everything we sell 100%.
When considering a new product, we start with a small sample order to have something to test on. Most products pass our testing and make it into our web store. A few failed, so the whole order went straight to the local recycling center as e-waste. One or two didn’t quite live up to the manufacturer’s hype, but still passed our testing, so they made it to the store, and the description was based on our testing, not the manufacturer’s claims.
Some of our security systems require you to contact us to purchase them, as we have to provision you in their system. You can find those systems under the product menu on our website. MikroTik and Kobra Infosec are exceptions to those, and those are also in our webstore. Most of the products in the store are network gear or computer accessories, such as storage devices (USB sticks, SD cards, etc.), but few have absolutely nothing to do with computers or security. These are products we rely on heavily and want to make available to others. The best example of this is our 3D printing section, where you can find various things for your 3D printing needs; keeping your filaments dry is at the top of that list.
